The MAFA League is back for the Naxxar Victorians this afternoon when they play current runners up, Qormi Hotspurs in Matchday 05. The team plays this tough fixture just a few weeks after their encounter with the same, Qormi in the Christmas Cup last month when they lost 2-1 in the Quarter Final (Read more here). The Victorians will be looking to bounce back after a string of not so encouraging results, despite the good performance by the boys in the Cup match. The Naxxar Victorians' experience within the MAFA Christmas Cup was halted by a tough Qormi Hotspurs side this afternoon at Zurrieq Grounds. Despite playing at a much better level than usual, two goals coming from corners cost the team a place in the semi-finals.
Today marks the Victorians' first Christmas Cup outing in the MAFA League. The team plays fellow Second Division league team, Qormi Hotspurs. After the team's last match vs San Giljan Saints, the Victorians will be looking to leave the pitch with a good performance and ideally a an even greater result.
This week's opponents, San Giljan Saints proved to be too much for the Victorians in their MAFA Matchday 4 fixture at St. Lucia grounds. The Victorians struggled to get a shot on goal and this put the Saints in a dominant position from the start.
After matchday 2's defeat away to Tal-Qroqq, the Naxxar Victorians will be out to let go of the past and focus on getting their first full three points this afternoon. The boys play current league leaders, San Giljan Saints and the boys are more than ready to try and change this shakey start into their first win.
Naxxar Victorians president, Karl Borg visited Naxxar's favourite boy, Nigel Spiteri this past week. Spiteri, who is currently waiting for treatment in Sutton, UK has always been a fan of both Naxxar Lions and the Victorians and so, a visit from Borg came as a pleasant surprise.
Halloween proved to be quite horrific for the Naxxar Victorians against Tal-Qroqq Versity yesterday evening. What started as a dream debut for striker, Connor Muchmore who scored right at the start of the match, ended up a nightmare right until the last whistle.

The Victorians proved to be a force to be reckoned with yesterday night against current MAFA Second Division leaders, Qormi Hotspurs. The Naxxar Victorians' second official match in the MAFA League has ended in a draw after a tough game against Mqabba Albions. An early Salif Sanogo goal sent the Victorians into ecstacy, it being our first official goal in MAFA.

The Naxxar Victorians suffered their first loss since August, yesterday night against Tal-Qroqq Versity at Siggiewi grounds. Despite being just a friendly, it was to be preparation for next week's MAFA fixture against Mqabba Albions. The game was characterised by the very wet surface and soap-like ball. The Victorians played in the same formation used last weekend. However, unlike on that day, yesterday night's needs were another story.
The Naxxar Victorians were held in a 0-0 draw in their season opener against neighbours, Mosta Vikings. Just like in the last meeting with the Vikings, players like Salif Sanogo and Daouda Djera brought out a dark side of Mosta. In spite of this, the match ended scoreless as the two teams battled for victory in their debut game in MAFA.
After two long months of hard work, the Naxxar Victorians now have the chance to prove they have the means of getting into MAFA. Every thing is set for today's fixture against Mosta Vikings, with the coach selecting his last 18.
The Naxxar Victorians finished their preseason commitments yesterday night against Mqabba Albions at Zebbug Grounds. The team made it count as they beat their fellow MAFA team 1-0. The latter's efforts were not enough to counter a great Naxxar side, who sought improvements after their last 1-1 draw against Valletta St. Pauli last week.
Naxxar Victorians held Swan League team, Valletta St. Pauli to a one-all draw, yesterday night at Zebbug Grounds. Following up on the previous friendly losses, this was a huge step back into the game. The team looked compact and much more prepared for the coming season.

The Naxxar Victorians squad faced the challenging figure of athlete, Fabio Spiteri yesterday evening. The four-times Ironman finisher was brought into this week's training session to help the team overcome the fitness problem which we encountered during our last friendly against Gharghur Bushwackers.

Naxxar Victorians suffered their first big loss yesterday night against Gharghur Bushwackers, at Zebbug Grounds. Despite the great confidence boost from the previous matches, Gharghur brought the team back to reality, a harsh reality to say the least.

Naxxar Victorians ran riot yesterday night against fellow MAFA competitors, Mosta Vikings at Zebbug Grounds. Following up on last week's big win against Ta' Xbiex St. Helens, the Victorians went and topped that score by another 3 this time, achieving a final score of 8-1 (2-1)
